Contemporary bookcase – Plywood is one of the most versatile building materials used to make everything from the floors to cabinets, desks to bookcases. Plywood comes in many qualities, but the furniture is best to use a higher grade A1 to B2 plywood, which will last without warping or laminating. If you do not plan to paint the bookcase use plywood with an attractive exterior veneer as cherry, oak or maple.

Slide rack sites at their edge, so that the shelf supports face each other and adjust the rack sides so as to be 33.5 inches apart. Attach the top to the sides with 1 5/8 inch wood screws drill through the top of the ends of the pages and use the 3-inch wood screws to secure the base to the sides the same way.
